NRWision is a non-commercial media portal on which citizens can publish their self-produced video and audio productions. The offerings primarily include an online media library and a nationwide TV learning channel. The NRWision media project is funded by the State Media Authority of North Rhine-Westphalia .Responsibility lies with the Institute for Journalism at TU Dortmund , which develops and operates the project.

The director is TV moderator and journalism professor Michael Steinbrecher , editor-in-chief is a graduate journalist and media trainer Stefan Malter . The editorial team is undertaken by journalism students at TU Dortmund . They review all formats according to legal, journalistic and technical criteria, compile the program for a program, write accompanying texts and metadata for all programs and give all producers personal feedback with content and technical suggestions for improvement.
