Born in 1985, Super TV Oristano takes its name from the local radio station “Radio Super Sound” which is still active in the area today. In the first years of transmission, the television coverage of the channel reached all over Sulcis. Subsequently, in the 1990s, the Mammì Law which provided for the reorganization of local broadcasters forced it to geographic downsizing. Later, however, in 1999, thanks to a new radio and television plan, the broadcaster returned to extend its range of action, broadcasting throughout the province of Oristano.
