La Télé is a French-speaking Swiss television channelbroadcasting news as well as generalist magazines. The channel is available in high definition ( HD ) on the Swisscom TV , Citycable, UPC Cablecom and Net +networks.
Born in 2006, the project was originally intended to concern only the Vaudois territory , but the regional division decided by OFCOM forced the channel to offer an offer throughout the Vaudois and Friborg territory.
Initially named Vaud-Friborg TV , the channel was launched by Edipresse , the historic regional channels ( Ici TV , TVRL , Maxtv , Val TV and Canal NV ) and 17 municipalities in Vaud and Friborg. She gets inOctober 2008the concession to broadcast in the territory of zone 2 1 , covering the cantons of Vaud and Friborg . Its distribution begins injuly 2009under the general direction of Christophe Rasch , designer of the project. The main live broadcast starts inSeptember 2009.
In December 2012, UPC Cablecom 2 decides to broadcast La Télé among other regional channels throughout Switzerland . It is followed inJanuary 2013by Swisscom TV . TheJanuary 23, 2013, OFCOM 3 officially abolishes the broadcasting limitation for regional television stations as of1 st March 2013.
