Korea Educational Broadcasting System , or EBS (in French: Television and radio broadcasting system for Education in Hangul 한국 교육 방송 공사 in Hanja :韓國敎育放送公社韓國放送公社) is one of four major South Korean television networks .

This network was founded by the South Korean government with the aim of providing lifelong education for the population and additional support for the school curriculum.

It was part of KEDI (Korean Educational Development Institute), but became independent in 1997 and became a public company in 2000. Broadcasting is provided by Korean Broadcasting System ( KBS ). It currently owns 9 television channels: EBS TV, EBS Radio, EBS Plus1, EBS Plus2, EBS English, EBS America and EBS u, but also 4 websites: www.ebs.co.kr, www.ebsi.co.kr , www.ebse.co.kr, www.ebslang.co.kr
