RMC, acronym for Radio Monte-Carlo, is a generalist radio station with French capital, and whose studios have been in Paris since 2002. Created in 1943 in Monaco, RMC has always broadcast to France, even when the state monopoly prohibited commercial stations (1945-1981). It was then part of the peripheral radios.
Since its takeover in 2001 by Alain Weill, this radio has been part of the NextRadioTV group, which also owns BFM TV. RMC's programs are based on commentary on social and political news and on that of the main professional sports. Many of his shows are talk shows.
On March 28, 2020, RMC stopped broadcasting on the big waves.
